I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, where I spent a majority of my time outdoors and in the wild. My family is fortunate enough to have a business in Denali National Park where I was able to fish, hike, fourwheel, snowmobile, canoe, and anything else imaginable! It was really an amazing childhood, but it also gave me a huge appreciation for the outdoors and to be physically active. Thanks to this active lifestyle I participated in just about every sport possible growing up including snowboarding, gymnastics, volleyball, soccer, you name it I did it.
At the young age of 3 I began snowboarding at our home mountain, Alyeska Resort. I took a loving to it immediately and any time I could convince my parents to drive me the 45 minutes to the mountain, I was there! When I was 15 I was introduced to the competition side of snowboarding and began to train and take it much more seriously. I soon found myself on the North American Cup circuit for several years, progressively getting better and better. Thanks to a successful season and lots of hard training the last couple years I was able to land a spot on the U.S. Snowboard team, which gives me a full time World Cup Spot this upcoming season. Not only am I beyond excited that my snowboarding is improving and I have been successful, but I am most thankful that I am able to represent my country and supporters on a world class stage. My long term goal is to represent the U.S. at the 2018 Winter Olympics and I am on track to hopefully accomplish that goal.
